The Woodpecker Food Safety Center (WFSC) is the first non-profit organization focused on food safety in China. It was co-founded in June 2013 by a group of community leaders that had particular concerns over food safety issues, including Li Hai-Shi, Xiang Chun, Si Jia, and Wu Xia.
It now operates from two regional offices in Hangzhou and Beijing. Its core activities include public education and oversight on food safety practices. WFSC aims to be the most trusted food safety information platform in China.
